Surfing Guanacaste Costa Rica

Guanacaste is world famous for its great surfing. More than 15 beaches are world famous for its great waves. Surfers from many countries come to Costa Rica for surfing. The best waves are in the South Caribbean ( Salsa Brava ) in the South Pacifico ( Matapalo and Pavones (), the Central Pacific ( Dominical, Barranca, Esterillos, Hermosa and Jaco, ) and last Guanacaste or the North Pacific. Surfing Guanacaste includes famous beach names like Witch’s Rock or Playa Naranjo, a fast tubing wave located inside the National Park of Santa Rosa.

Other famous Guanacaste surf spots include Ollie`s Point, Tamarindo Beach, Playa Grande Beach, Avellanas, Playa Negra Beach, Guiones, Pelada, Nosara, Ostional, Junquillal, Marbella, Santa Teresa, Mal Pais, Playa Carmen and so many more. Normally, surfers visiting Guanacaste rent a car, usually a  4 x 4  rental and simply start exploring some or all the best surf beaches, starting either from the south near Mal Pais or from the far north near Roca Bruja or Witch`s Rock. To all surfers that plan on visiting Guanacaste, surfing Guanacaste will be your ultimate surf experience, and perhaps the best surf trip you have ever had.
