Playa Guiones is a large wide and beautiful beach located in Central Guanacaste, just a few minutes south of the main Nosara Beach, between Playa Garza and Playa Pelada de Nosara. Guiones is well known for being one of the best surfing spots in Costa Rica, with steady and constant strong swells and great favorable off shore winds early ion the morning and in the later afternoon and evening. Playa Guiones also sets and example of sustainable tourism and sustainable harmonic development, because in Guiones, you can hardly see a construction near the beach, which in turn is totally covered by local bush vegetation, trees and smaller patches of local tropical dry forest.

From Guiones, it is also a short drive to Ostional Beach, Playa Pelada Beach, Downtown Nosara, Playa Nosara and about 45 minutes south towards Playa Samara.
