Many people prefer villas and ocean view houses or beachfront condos instead of a traditional beach hotel. The main difference lies in the price, the services provided and the purpose of the vacation over all. A hotel offers more services, like food and beverage, bars and entertainment, but usually clients are situated in a one room facility, perhaps with a balcony or terrace. This option is still the preferred option for around 85 % of visitors. The main reason to choose between a condo, villa or house over a hotel or resort is the overall purpose of the vacation.

Villas are equipped with a totally equipped kitchen, a living room, more than 1  bedroom, two bathrooms and a garage. It is like renting a house. There are no services included, but people can cook on their own, and have much more space inside the unit that in a hotel room. This option is usually highly regarded when it comes to families, or long term vacations of over  1  month, two couples that are befriended or similar situations. Hotels and resorts are preferred for most of the tourists because there are more services, and people usually do not like to cook during their vacation time anyways.
